Employee Thwarts Armed Robbery

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Not everyone headed out early for Black Friday looking to spend money.

At least one man in Endicott was looking to steal it.

According to Endicott Police, 21-year-old Wesley Goodman tried to steal from Rolling Fire Glassworks in the Village of Endicott around 8:45 p.m. Thursday.

Police said witnesses saw Goodman carrying out a cash register out of the store.

They said the store owner arrived on scene and contained Goodman until Endicott Police Officers arrived.

According to emergency communications Thursday, Goodman was armed with a knife.

Goodman was taken to the Endicott Police Department Thursday night.

He is being charged with Burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D Felony, He will be arraigned in the Village of Endicott Court Friday and sent to the Broome County Jail.
