Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A free event gave workout enthusiasts the chance to use aerobics, kettle bells, and resistance bands.

Positive LifeForce Fitness and Wellness Studio held it's annual "Community Fitness Day" Saturday.

Dozens of people took free classes including Yoga, P90X, and spinning.

Event organizers said they want to encourage people to be more active as the weather warms up.

"I think people just need to have an open attitude, and try new things and I think that's what we really encourage," said Cassie Burgess, of Positive LifeForce. "Our motto is live, laugh, be fit, and I think that if you incorporate fitness and nutrition into your life, you're going to be a better person."

Burgess said she is proud of the turnout for this year's Community Fitness Day.

Nearly 100 people took classes throughout the day.
