Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A family in Berkshire now has new furniture after a fire destroyed their home in late October.

The Bean family said they lost everything after the fire, but on Monday, they got some help from Save More Furniture in Owego.

"We can't thank them enough," said Ken Bean. "The community, Newark Valley, Richford, Berkshire, everybody has donated pots pans, clothes, things you don't even think of."

Action News was there as moving truck was getting loaded.

The Bean family received lamps, tables and beds all from Save More Furniture and Beds4Kids.

"It's very heartwarming," said Leonard Hilldale of Beds4Kids. "I'm glad to be able to help them and it's pretty much what our entire company is all about."

Bean said the past few weeks have been overwhelming with all of the support his family have been receiving.

Bean has been a volunteer firefighter for the past 29 years and was one of the firefighters who responded to his home when it was up in flames.

His family is now living in a rented home in Berkshire.
