Police: Growing drugs all in the family

Otego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Three family members are accused of growing marijuana in the presence of two small children..

Monday, the Otsego County Sheriff's Office arrested Marvin and Vicki Barron, both 43, and their son, John, 24, all of Otego.

Deputies say in late February they found 72 marijuana plants when they served a search warrant at Marvin and Vicki's home on City Highway 8 in Otego. The pot's street value is estimated to be $1,200.

Two children under the age of 6 also lived at the home.

The Barrons surrendered to police Monday.

Marvin and Vicki are charged with criminal possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

John is charged with unlawfully growing marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

All were issued appearance tickets.
