Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A songwriter to country stars including Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, and Trace Adkins stopped in Endicott Saturday.

He wasn't on tour, and he wasn't in the town of Union for a job. Instead, he stopped by to raise funds for a local children's camp.

Lee Thomas Miller is a three-time Grammy Award nominee who happens to also be a close friend of the camp director at MAPLERIDGE Ranch in Owego.

Camp Director Dwayne Blasder asked him to come perform a few songs in Endicott at the McKinley Saturday night.

Blasder said Miller didn't hesitate to help the kids: "He said that he'd be willing to come and help me out for our fundraiser. So he just flew in today and he's flying out tomorrow."

They expect to raise $15,000 at this fundraiser, where nearly 300 people attended.

They had raffles for gift baskets and took donations all to reach that goal.

The camp hopes to board more than 500 children this summer.
