Corning, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The names of the two men killed in Thursday's helicopter crash in Corning are released.
The victims are Dale Crout, 42, of Watkins Glen, he worked for NYSEG at its Horseheads office.
And, the pilot Mackensize Bleth, 24, from Oregon.
The two men were killed when the helicopter flew into power lines that it was inspecting and crashed near the football field at Corning East High School.
NYSEG spokesperson Clay Ellis said the chopper did not belong to NYSEG and was a contracted service.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
