Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) What better way to cap off your holiday weekend and say goodbye to summer than with plenty of food and fun?

Johnson City Field Days continues through Monday.

It's at Northside Park in the village.

Organizers say attendance has been down this year but they still expect nearly 10,000 people to come enjoy the event.

They added a new ferris wheel this year and a rollercoaster for kids.

New this year is also a bakery featuring fresh baked goods.

You can stop by the Wegman's stage for live music all day or chow down on everything from piroghi's to speidies.

All booths are run by non-profit organizations who use Field Days as a big fundraiser.

"I think people look forward to some great food and nice family entertainment. It's not expensive. It's one ticket per ride and it's a 1.50 a ride. When you compare that to other places, still in this economy, it's a great deal," said Diane Salva, Co-Chair Johnson City Celebration Committee.

Field Days runs until 11 Sunday night.

It opens at noon Monday for Labor Day. Rides start at 1.

The big fireworks show lights off at 9:30 PM.
