Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A keynote speaker brought his pro-hydraulic fracturing views to the Endwell rotary lunch Tuesday.

John Cuomo, a faith-based financial advisor without ties to the governor with the same name, said fracking not only benefits those who hold gas leases, but the entire community.

He claims fracking can lower property taxes.

He also wants to form community safety nets with the money coming from the gas leases.

"It is my vision and expectation that and my description as I put plans together for them to be able to form little groups, foundations, or otherwise neighborhood groups that say, lets pool our money so that when a neighbor has a major problem that costs thousands," said Cuomo. "It will be a pool of money to be able to help folks. Weather it is a next door neighbor or somebody in town."

Cuomo says he is not convinced of the negative health and environmental impacts others have claimed.
