Fire Breaks Out in Binghamton Apartment Complex

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Crews were on the scene of a two-alarm fire in the City of Binghamton early Monday morning.

The call came in for the Metro Plaza Apartments on Henry Street around 5 a.m.

The fire started on the fourth floor of the building and crews say it was out 50 minutes later.

Firefighters say it was an electrical fire.

Some residents in the building had to be evacuated.

As of 6 a.m Monday, Henry Street was closed down half way down the block to Chenango Street.

The investigation is on-going and Action News will keep you updated.
