Fire burns half of a Maine trailer

Town of Maine, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A trailer fire in the Town of Maine brings out seven fire companies to put out the flames.

The call went out around 4:30 p.m. Friday for a trailer fire at 783 Nanticoke Road in the Town of Maine

Broome County fire investigators say the fire started after a pot was left unattended on the stove.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found fire blowing through the front door and smoke venting through the eves of the trailer.

Maine's Fire Chief says the fire was put out within six minutes.

There was no one home at the time the fire broke out.

The fire was contained to one side of the trailer.

Crews from Maine, Endicott, West Corners, Union Center, Nanticoke, Whitney Point, Glen Aubrey and Newark Valley all responded to the fire.
