Firefighters save Maine home

Maine, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A fast response by local firefighters helped save a Maine home.

The fire broke out around 2 p.m. Saturday in the back of 32 Church Street.

Crews arrived within minutes; those crews included West Corners., Union Center, and Maine fire departments.

According to the Maine fire chief, the residents were inside when the fire started but were able to get out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and there's only minor damage to the outside of the home.
