Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Afton Community Theater (A.C.T.) is getting ready for its performance of Rent coming up next month.

At the Oakdale Mall Sunday afternoon, performers showed off how rehearsals have been going so far with a flash mob.

They sang Seasons of Love - one of the iconic songs from the musical.

The community theater's actors and actress are all volunteers. They practice almost five days a week, three hours a day.

"We have a chiropractor in the group, we have students in the group, we have people who work in retail, just all walks of life," said Director Cameron Kinnear. "People you'd meet in a store like here in the mall and you'd never think they'd have the talent or the voice that they do."

The group has four shows coming up next month:
Saturday, March 8th at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 9th at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, March 14th at 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 15th at 8:00 p.m.
