Corning, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A forensic expert from Corning whose six-decade career includes testimony for the defense in the OJ Simpson trial finds himself in trouble.
New York State Police say 84-year-old Herbert MacDonell had inappropriate pictures of an 11 year old girl at his home.
Troopers began investigating MacDonell after a report called into the state Child Abuse Hotline concerning his behavior while photographing the girl.
According to information provided with his book, "After Holmes: Dr. MacDonell's Forensic Casebook ," McDonell has provided expert testimony for hundreds of cases, including the O.J. Simpson trial
McDonell was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Corning court for Dec. 31.
