Four taken to the hospital after crash

Town of Barker, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Four people were taken to a local hospital after tractor-trailer and car collide on Interstate 81 north.

The northbound lanes of I-81 north between exits 7 and 8, Castle Creek and Whitney Point, opened after 5:30 p.m., according to the New York State Department of Transportation.

The crash happened at approximately 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. A Toyota CTX was involved. All four occupants of the vehicle were taken to Wilson Hospital.

The tractor-trailer involved ended up down the embankment off the interstate. The driver was not injured.

New York State Police are investigating.
