Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A former Olympian and Endicott native comes back after almost twenty years to open up his own restaurant.

Randy Will is the owner of Nevole's, located in the "Small Mall" in Johnson City.

Will was also on the U.S. Olympic Bobsled Team in the late eighties and early nineties.

He coached a Gold Medalist in the 2002 Olympics and was one of the torch bearers. The torch along with other Olympic memorabilia is displayed proudly in the restaurant.

Will says that owning a restaurant and being an Olympian have a lot in common.

"One of the greatest things going to the Olympics is the people you meet, the friends and the camaraderie that are joined with one another. It's the same thing in the restaurants, you become really close friends with many of your customers and you see them. Many of them become your typical Thursday customers. It's just really nice to have that," said Will.

The name Nevole's came from Will's grandfathers restaurant in New York City. He says while the restaurants are different its good to keep the name going.
