(WBNG Binghamton) A store specializing in outdoor merchandise that shut down due to flooding in 2011 is back open.

Cars filled the parking lot as soon as Gander Mountain opened its doors for the first time in two years.

Gander Mountain took on severe flooding back in September of 2011, just seven years after opening.

The building was gutted and has been vacant ever since.

The Minnesota-based company said in January that the new building will feature an "innovative interior design," and bring up to 70 jobs to the area.

In February of last year, the US District Court threw out Gander Mountain's claim that it should be able to get out of its 15-year lease on Harry L Drive.
