Binghamton, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) There were more accolades to be handed out at SUNY Broome Thursday, as more than 1,300 graduates made their way across the stage to collect their diplomas at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

SUNY Broome President Dr. Kevin Drumm said through their accomplishments, members of this year's graduating class have earned a spot in their respective industries.

As they lined up Thursday evening, students admitted the path to donning their caps and gowns took a great deal of discipline and hours spent studying. But behind their unique success stories, each grad said they are ready for the next step.

"honestly probably the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, very important through and I'm looking forward to the future," said Jennifer Avery, who graduated with a degree in dental hygiene.

Liberal arts was the most common major among the class of 2014, and the graduates' ages ranged from 18 all the way to 63.
