Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A longtime engineering hardware company has relocated to Binghamton.

Nielsen Hardware Corp. cut the ribbon Thursday morning at their new home on Frederick Street on the north side of Binghamton.

They manufacture different parts for military, telecom and industrial customers.

Nielsen was looking to relocate elsewhere, but negotiated a deal to move from Hillcrest to Binghamton.

"EMS technologies, the bank, NYDBC, the BLDC, they've all been excellent to work with and aggressive and very business friendly in trying to keep nielsen local and keeping all of the jobs," said Ranga Ranganthan, CEO of Nielsen Hardware.

Nielsen currently employees 15 people and is hoping to create more jobs in the future.

They said what made Binghamton so appealing was the space available and its location close to the highway.
