Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Holiday cheer filled the air Thursday night for Johnson City's annual Holiday Parade.

It kicked off on Main Street around 7 p.m. Hundreds came out to enjoy the festivities and there weren't too many mittens out either.

Some said Thursday night's mild weather was even more of a reason to attend. The crowd was all smiles and almost everyone was with family.

"Nothing beats being out with your family at an event like this that you can share with everyone around you," said Clarence Lewis of Johnson City.

For some, the parade is something they look forward to all year.

"It's awesome," said Tina Hirthler of Endicott. "We wouldn't trade it for the world. We never miss it."

The parade stretched from Lester Avenue to Arch Street. That's about a one mile walk.
