Greene, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Kids in the Village of Greene enjoyed beautiful weather on Sunday, while learning how to fish.

The second annual Take Me Fishin' Youth Fishing Clinic was held at Cook Park in Greene.

The free clinic gives children the opportunity to learn all about fishing.

Kids, ages five and up, were welcome to attend, and around 30 families showed up for the day.

Team members who helped organize said this is something they want to happen more often.

"There is not very much around this area to do, but we have very good bodies of water in the New York area, and it is right in your back yard. You just have to use it to your advantage," said Anthony Lorefice, a local fisherman.

Many of the kids caught large mouth bass and sun fish throughout the day, and the clinic leaders taught everything from the basics to advanced techniques.
