Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Lourdes Hospital set up a display Tuesday afternoon, showing off projects that have helped the facility reduce its carbon footprint and overall impact on the environment.

Local businesses like NYSEG and Foam-it Insulation were there to hand out information and explain why just little changes, can make a big difference.

"If 100 people do something and tell another 100 people, soon enough you have a lot of people involved in conscientious efforts to reduce solid waste," said Juliet Berling, Director of Green Initiatives and Sustainability at Lourdes.

Organizers of the Earth Day event said environmentally-conscious businesses should be recognized for staying on the “green track.”
