Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Conklin family is homeless after a fire destroyed their home.
The call came in around 8:30 a.m. Monday for a house fire at 1356 Millburn Drive.
Conklin Fire Chief Bill Gorman said no one was home at the time of the fire.
NYS Route 7 and the Conklin-Kirkwood bridge were closed while crews fought the fire.
Gorman says the investigation is still on-going and could be lengthy due to the extensive damage.
Conklin, Five Mile Point, Kirkwood, Town of Binghamton, West Windsor, Great Bend, Hallstead were among the crews there.
New York State Police and NYSEG were also on the scene.
