House Fire on Fellows Avenue, Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A fire on Fellows Avenue in Binghamton gave one family a scare today.

They were able to make it out in time.

Binghamton Fire Chief Dan Thomas said the home's second floor was heavily damaged although some of the family's belongings on the first floor were saved.

Thomas said firefighters were also able to save the family dog and they had the fire extinguished in about 15 minutes.

Thomas said the cause remains under investigation.
