Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 700 students officially became college graduates, with nearly 400 walking across the stage at Sunday's Fall Commencement ceremony.
"It'll feel good afterwards, just knowing my mom and everyone's so proud of me," said Krystle Martinez. "I'm the first to graduate from college, so they're excited."
Binghamton University President Harvey Stenger kicked off the ceremony at 12 pm Sunday. Among the graduating class were 58 doctoral students.
Some graduates said it was the proudest moment of their lives.
"My family's proud and I'm happy I could make them happy," said William Hernandez.
Former Binghamton University President Lois DeFleur was one of Sunday's guest speakers.
