Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) People in Owego showed off some of their antiques Sunday morning.

The Elks Club on Front Street held its annual Antique Emporium throughout the day.

Many of the sellers had items, like jewelry and fine china, while others had old books and paintings.

Those working the emporium said this event can attract antique hunters from as far away as Long Island.

People said the best part, though, is it's all for a good cause.

"The Elks is number two in the nation for scholarships, a lot of people don't realize that. And Elks, a lot of people think that they don't do anything, but they do, and this helps support those charities," said manager Barbara Kotasek.

More than 500 people visited the emporium.
