Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) IHOP celebrates National Pancake Day by hosting a pancake fundraiser.

The International House of Pancakes is holding its eighth annual event to celebrate the holiday.

Pancakes will be flipped in more than a thousand IHOP restaurants across the country.

It's also one of IHOP's busiest days of the year.

"As much staff as we can have on, the guys, our cooks back there are just ready to rock it out. They're just ready to make pancakes and have a great time doing it," said Heather Strohl, IHOP Manager.

IHOP is giving away free short stacks of its buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5.

The meal is free but the restaurant is asking for donations.

The donations will benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospital programs. Locally, the money goes to the Janet Weis Children's Hospital at Geisinger.

The fundraiser aims to raise $3 million to kick off Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' 30th Anniversary

WBNG is a Children's Miracle Network partner.
