Intoxicated driver found with 2 previous DWI

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man with a revoked license is found drunk behind the wheel, Saturday afternoon.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., the Broome County Sheriff's office responded to Upper Front St. in Binghamton for an erratic driving complaint.

At the Northgate Plaza area, a traffic stop was issued on a red GMC Jimmy. An intoxicated man, Bill Bowen, 43, of Port Crane was driving the SUV. He was taken into custody.

A check into Bowen's driving history showed 2 prior convictions for driving while intoxicated in the past 2 years. He was also on probation for D.W.I. and had a revoked drivers license.

When Bowen was taken to the Broome County Sheriff’s office for processing, he refused a breathalyzer test.

Bowen was arraigned at the Town of Fenton Court and remanded to the Broome County jail without bail.

Moved from lane unsafely, an infraction
