Police: Intoxicated man robs Mirabito with stolen truck

Otego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ryan Kennedy, 29, of Unadilla, was arrested early Thursday morning.

It happened at the Mirabito Quickway on County Road 48 in Otego, where State Police responded to a report of robbery around 4:40 a.m.

According to State Police, Kennedy entered the store with a pistol and fled the store in a 2000 GMC pick up truck after stealing gasoline, cigarettes, beer, and snack items.

State Police spotted the truck on State Route 205, in the Town of Hartwick, and attempted to make a stop. A short pursuit ensued, during which Kennedy's truck became disabled.

State Police discovered the truck had been stolen and found two pellet guns along with the stolen items inside the vehicle.

Kennedy was charged with second degree robbery, third degree grand larceny, felony DWI, and other various charges.

His blood alcohol content was determined to be .19 and he was taken to the Otsego County Jail.
