Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) City of Ithaca officials remind residents to be cautious in low lying areas near the Fall Creek area.

The Ithaca Fire Department said efforts to clear ice jams in Cascadilla and Fall Creek are working.

Crews worked through Saturday night to clear ice.

Most streets are open and it's expected parking garages will be open Monday morning. Normal parking has resumed in the Fall Creek area.

The Water Front Trail is closed from Route 13 near the Haunt to Stewart Park. The fire department reported there are deep holes and hazards covered by ice and water.

Fall creek residents who want sand bags can pick them up at Northstar Restaurant, 202 East Falls Street, Neighborhood Pride Grocery Store, 212 Hancock Street, or Hickey's Music, 104 Adams Street.
