Ithaca PD Arrest Robbery Suspect

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ithaca Police arrest a man for armed robbery and attempted armed robbery after two incidents on Sunday.

Police arrested Troy Kastenhuber, 44, of Ithaca. He was taken into custody Monday morning at his home.

At approximately 6:42 Sunday night, Ithaca Police responded to an alarm at Byrne Dairy on North Meadow Street in Ithaca. At the scene, they learned that a man attempted to rob the store with a knife.

Police said Kastenhuber left the scene without getting any money before officers arrived.

Kastenhuber allegedly robbed the Citgo on North Fulton Street about 10 minutes later. At this location, he took an undisclosed amount of money.

Police took him into custody Monday morning. He was arraigned and sent to the Tompkins County jail.

Kastenhuber is charged with robbery, attempted robbery and other charges.
