Ithaca Police searching for suspicious person

Ithaca, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ithaca police are asking for help finding a man who reportedly pushed a female Collegetown resident into her front door.

Police say the incident happened just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Linden Avenue in Ithaca.

The woman reported she walked home alone from College Avenue and Dryden Road.

When she arrived at her front door, she was grabbed by her shoulders and pushed into the door by an unknown man.

She was able to fight him off, then reportedly ran to a friend's residence at 301 College Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties. He is also described as having light colored hair and clothing and about 5'10'' in height.

No threats were made and no weapons were displayed.

The woman was not injured.
