Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Music and Jazz portion of Binghamton's annual July Fest celebration returns this weekend.

This tradition attracts people from all over to enjoy arts and crafts, food, and music.

Performances at this year's festival include the New York Funk Exchange and PrimeTime Funk.

Festival Music Coordinator Mike Carbone says he tries to give a variety of music for everyone to enjoy during the events.

"We try to mix it up with different things," said Carbone. "The softer type music, and some smooth jazz, stuff that's classic jazz, and some R & B stuff. And just try to get a nice balance of different genres of music so people have different things to listen to throughout the weekend."

The event opens Friday morning at 10 o'clock, with the Music and Jazz Fest beginning at 5 o'clock.
