Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For many, the Johnson City Field Days signifies the end of summer.

The fun opened tonight, at 6 o'clock Friday at Northside Park on Harry L. Drive.

It continues through Monday.

Organizers say last year, 10,000 people came out.

And this year they're expecting at least that many this year-- if not more.

They invite you out to ride the ferris wheel, sample food and listen to live entertainment.

Also, make sure to visit booths like the boy scouts, the Johnson City music department and an athletic booster club.

"All the groups here give back to the community in some way. By the people participating, you're donating to the cause," says Co-Chair Judy Snedaker.

The Field Days run Saturday from noon until 11 pm.

And from 1pm until 4 pm, kids can ride four rides for $4.

The rides begin at 1 on Sunday and Monday-- and it all wraps up with a fantastic firework show, Monday night at 9:30.
