Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) People of all ages celebrated the unofficial end of summer with a bang on Monday night.
After an evening filled with thrill rides, fried fair food and live music from Jeff Nyschot's Groove, people were able to dance the night away before settling in for a colorful night.
Monday marked the conclusion of the 47th annual Johnson City Field Days, which has brought many families coming back for decades.
Anne Langstaff from Binghamton says she has been coming to the park along Harry L. Drive for years. Since she cannot make it to the state fair, she stays local instead.
"I'm out here at the Johnson City Field Day. I'm making it happen. The weather is perfect and were going to have fireworks here pretty soon," said Langstaff.
The fireworks show concluded the end of the Field Days in Johnson City as it traditionally marks the unofficial end to summer.
