Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Judge Rick Miller announced his candidacy for Broome County family court judge.

Judge Miller made the announcement Wednesday afternoon at Highland Park.

The Republican has been a justice for a total of 19 years combined with the Town of Union and Johnson City.

Miller said he believes that his years of experience will be his strongest asset when running for this position.

"At this point, I have had the opportunity to see people at their worst and try to help them, " he said, "Give them some focus on where they really need to go and how I can help in that process with them to make better choices in their life."

With Miller's announcement, there are now a total of four candidates for the position and two available spots.
