Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) For the 51st year, downtown Binghamton is celebrating the summer with July Fest.

The downtown festival features local musicians, artists, and crafters for a weekend long party.

Musical coordinator Michael Carbone said the midsummer festival will provide something for everyone.

"We have everything from Jazz, Blues, Pop, R&B, Soul," Carbone said. "It's just a great variety of music which will hopefully bring more and more people out to hear different things. "

Thousands from all over the east coast are expected to turn out.

Dozens of local crafters will be there to sell their work.

Business owner Doris Newhart said the festival is a boom for the area during the slow summer months.

"It definitely is a bonus," Newhart said. "It would be nice if it were once a month. It's a business booster."

More than 15 bands will play during the three day festival.

A complete schedule of events is available at the July Fest website.
