Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Junior League of Binghamton is celebrating 80 years of service to the Southern Tier.

The all-women group dedicates its time to building better communities that make a difference, provide positive impact, and focus on important issues.

In the past, The League has led several major projects in the Greater Binghamton area such as The Family and Children's Society and The Story Garden.

The women are now looking, and taking suggestions from the community for a new signature project.

They said creating change through these projects is rewarding for everyone involved.

"It's very exciting, especially at this party," said Junior League of Binghamton President Becky Miller. "We have been working with people of all different ages from all over the place and it's really exciting seeing what you can do."

If you are interested in joining the Junior League of Binghamton, they are holding an information night on October 17 to look for new members.
