Kitchen Fire in the Town of Union

Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A home catches fire in the Town of Union.

Firefighters believe it started in the kitchen, but the cause is still under investigation.

The call went out just before 2:30 p.m. for a two-alarm house fire at 1006 Day Hollow Rd.

The West Corners fire chief said there were no injuries. He said the homeowners had come home to see their house on fire.

The West Corners Fire Department was assisted on scene by firefighters from Union Center and Vestal, and Union Ambulance.
