Freeville, NY (WBNG Binghamton) In the race for New York's 51st Senate District one man is looking to unseat the long-term incumbent.

Democrat Howard Leib cast his vote today in Freeville.

Leib an entertainment lawyer and college professor says the goal of his campaign is providing voters a choice, and a chance for better representation than what they've had for the past 26 years with Republican incumbent James Seward.

"I'm feeling great about this. The enthusiasm I've felt from one end of the district to the other is great. People have bee excited that they actually have a choice this year and a choice that stands up for what they believe in," said Howard Leib.
