Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Orzel's opponent is running for re-election.

Senator Tom Libous casted his vote at the Temple Concord on Riverside Drive.

He crutched to the polling station after fracturing his right foot last week.

First elected to the State Senate in 1988, Libous says he still gets nervous on election day waiting for the first results to come in.

He says he's happy with his campaign and feels confident on the results.

"This is a great country we live in, certainly a great state, great community, I really would hope that everyone would come out and vote today," said Libous.

Others at the polling station say it was an easy process for them this year. There were Short lines and lots of volunteers giving out instructions and helping with questions.
