Nichols, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Community and business leaders from Tioga and Chemung counties join Tioga Downs 'All In Coalition' to raise support for casino bid.

The race track and casino announced the formation of its "All In" coalition on Friday.

CEO Jeff Gural said the coalition and its website was formed to organize public support for Tioga Downs.

"To be honest, Traditions has had a very good PR campaign, and I wasn't sure what would happen when we asked the community for their support," Gural said. "It was overwhelming."

The coalition announcement included a new website where people can sign up and show their support for a license to build a Las Vegas style hotel and casino.

Martha Sauerbrey, a member of the coalition and Tioga County legislator, said she supports the Nichols attraction because of its commitment to the community.

"Their relationship with our local community is very positive," Sauerbrey said. "The organization supports many community events, veterans groups, and they provide an ideal venue for many community events."

Public hearings for all the casino bids are expected to begin after Labor Day.
