Arrest made in Binghamton home invasion

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police arrest a man they say broke into a Downs Avenue home.

Police responded around 2 a.m. June 25 to 3 Downs Ave. after hearing reports of shots fired.

A woman living at the home said a man broke through the front door and forced her on the roof before firing two gun shots.

Police say that man is Marlon Singleton, 20, of Binghamton.

He was arrested Thursday and charged with first-degree burglary.

The investigation is ongoing.
