Man Accused of Stealing, Forging Checks

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A Binghamton man is charged with identity theft and forgery, accused of stealing checks and signing other people's signatures.

Johnson City Detectives say Christopher Peet, 21, stole checks, forged somebody else's signature, and tried to cash them at a local credit union.

Peet was arrested Wednesday morning.

He's now in the Broome County Jail waiting for further court action.
