Towanda, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A Towanda man is arrested for fleeing and eluding back in September.

It happened on Thursday at about 5:30 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police in Towanda arrested Jonathan Butler, 34, during a traffic stop on James Street in North Towanda.

On September 22, police say Butler was pulled over for a traffic violation and threatened police with anhydrous ammonia, an explosive used to make methamphetamine.

Police backed off and Butler fled the scene.

Yesterday, police found syringes and other drug paraphernalia on Butler upon his arrest.

Butler couldn't pay bail of $175,000 and was sent to Bradford County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is set for the 17.
