Man Shoots Neighbor's Dog

Dimock Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A man is facing animal cruelty charges after injuring his neighbor's black lab.

On December 30, Pennslyvannia State Police responded to a report of a shot dog at a home on Messhoppen Creek Road.

Upon arrival, it was found that the dog had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police say Matthew DeBonis, 32, of Dimock shot the dog with a 22 caliber rifle, when it crossed onto his property.

Charges of cruely to animals will be filed against DeBonis.

The dog, "Bear," was taken to the Clarks Summit Emergency Veterinary Clinic. It is expected to make a full recovery.
