Man Struck, Killed at Brandywine and Frederick

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Police said the accident involving a man and vehicle Saturday near the Brandywine Highway and Frederick Street was fatal.

Tom Jones, 37, of Binghamton, was crossing the intersection when he was hit by a female driver around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 12.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said Jones was crossing against the light and conditions were foggy.

They add no charges will be filed against the driver.

Police said another accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian also took place Saturday at the Brandywine Highway and Robinson Street.

That accident happened at approximately 6:30 p.m., and the pedestrian was not seriously injured.
