Burlington, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Police are searching for a man they say threatened them with explosives before running away.

It happened on September 22 in Burlington in Bradford County.

Pennsylvania State Police say they tried to pull over Jonathan Butler,34, of Towanda for a suspended registration.

Butler refused to pull over, and police chased him down.

Butler eventually got out of his car with a cylinder of anhydrous ammonia, which is used to make methamphetamine.

Police said Butler challenged them to shoot at him because the cylinder would explode if they did.

The police backed off, and Butler escaped on foot.
