Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A man accused of beating his ex-girlfriend to death pleaded not guilty to all five charges.

A judge arraigned William Danielson, 48, in front of a full room in Chenango County Court Wednesday morning.

According to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office, Danielson attacked and robbed Lucinda Knoll, 39, in front of her Maple Grove Trailer Park home on Dec. 27.

Deputies said Knoll was buckling her and Danielson's child into the car when Danielson, who had been hiding behind the home, approached and attacked her.

Knoll died from blunt force trauma two days later.

Danielson is charged with two counts of murder in the second degree, robbery in the first degree, assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree.

Many gathered to support Knoll's family, wearing pins that displayed a picture of the victim.

"My daughter was a wonderful, caring, loving person. Who would never hurt a fly. She lived for her children and she loved them. And this is a tragedy," said Knoll's mother, Sheila Strobel.

Danielson is being held in Chenango County jail. No bail has been set.
