Man arrested with stolen credit cards

Cortland County, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) A Liverpool man was arrested on Friday after breaking into a home and taking a wallet that contained several credit cards.

According to investigators, William Marshall broke into a residence on Steager Road in the Town of Preble between April 2 and April 3.

The owner was at home during the incident, which was believed to have occurred during the daytime hours of April 3.

It was not until later in the day on April 3 that the owner had knowledge of a break-in and larceny, at which time the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department was called.

It has been determined through the investigation that the stolen credit cards were used at several locations throughout Onondaga County.

Marshall was located by officers while shopping at Wal-Mart in Cortland.

According to deputies, Marshall has been charged with burglary in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree, with additional charges still pending.
