Man accused of burglarizing three south side homes

(WBNG Binghamton) A man suspected of burglarizing three south side Binghamton homes was arrested.

Cody Blake, 27, of Waverly was taken into custody Thursday at a Chemung Street home in the Village of Waverly.

Police executed a search warrant at the home and found several stolen items taken during the burglaries, according to a news release.

Binghamton Police said Blake is suspected of the following burglaries:
- Aug. 8 at a Hayes Street home
- Aug. 9 at an Otseningo Street home
- Aug. 9 at a Belden Street home

Blake was also being sought by the New York State Department of Corrections for breaking parole. Blake is on parole for a prior burglary conviction, according to police.

He has been charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree.

The Broome County Sheriff's Office, the Tioga County Sheriff's Office and the Village of Waverly Police Department assisted in the arrest.
